Senior Spotlight: Meet Burdette

This month, Abby and I are happy to be donating 10% of our proceeds to Laps and Naps Home for Senior Cats.

The mission of Laps and Naps Home for Senior Cats Inc. is to provide safe, loving havens where senior housecats can live out their lives in cage-free home environments. Specifically, Laps and Naps was started with the twin goals of (1) preventing senior cats from being surrendered to animal shelters and (2) “rescuing” senior cats from local shelters and placing them in loving homes.

Burdette is a very sweet, shy, 8-year-old dilute tortie who was surrendered to the shelter by her elderly owner who could no longer care for her.

Burdette went to a foster home in SC that had other cats, dogs, and children and this sensitive girl stopped eating and ended up spending several days at the vet office. She really needs to be in a quiet home with fewer animals.

Burdette is a lap cat who loves attention. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

If you are interested in adopting Burdette, please send an email to info@lapsandnaps.org or call 828-447-1230.
